- | I would not recommend this splicer if you want to use it for a 35mm projector, but for the Gugusse Compact it will do a better job than any real splicer. the Gugusse doesn't use sprockets like a projector and therefore doesn't react well to film holes that are covered with tape, it doesn't push the excess tape out of the way. Tape over film holes has a good chance to make you lose your registration sync. I personnally use this splicer with archival scotch tape (looks like regular scotch tape), I only tape the width of the picture and leave the holes uncovered. After hundreds of splices done for [[https://www.youtube.com/@GugusseRoller/videos|the 35mm trailers on my channel]] | + | I would not recommend this splicer if you want to use it for a 35mm projector, but for the Gugusse Compact it will do a better job than any real splicer. the Gugusse doesn't use sprockets like a projector and therefore doesn't react well to film holes that are covered with tape, it doesn't push the excess tape out of the way.
